Kristin Dos Santos brings news of “Chuck”!

Watching With Kristin fields questions about Chuck:

Cecily in Portland, Ore.: Since Sarah killed a man in front of Chuck, will the pair be OK when the show returns?
Chuck chief Josh Schwartz tells me Chuck still doesn’t know Sarah was actually saving his life, adding, “That’s a dynamic that obviously is going to be complicated.”

Morgangirl in Rhode Island: Chuck scoop!

Josh Schwartz tells me, “There’s a very sexy MI6 agent who comes in to help on a mission for a couple of episodes, played by Jonathan Cake. He’s a real sort of badass Gerard Butler-type who definitely catches Sarah’s eye. There are a couple things that are going to happen towards the end of this season that are sort of a point of no return for Sarah and Chuck. It could be a point of no return in a good way or point of no return in a bad way, you’ll have to stay tuned.

Mr. Cake, unhelpfully, has no photos on his IMDb profile, but a bit of Googling reveals he looks more or less just like you’d expect a “sexy,” “badass” English spy to look:

I had a rant prepared about how foolish I think it is to tease that Chuck and Sarah might not end up together when it’s been obvious from the first episode that they will, because that’s just how these things are done, and how I’m not looking forward to the inevitable realization that Sarah’s brief attraction to this MI-6 agent has only! strengthened! her love! for Chuck!, but I’m not even sure it’s worth ranting about at this point.

I’m trying to accept that Sarah is less a character and more a stand-in for whatever cliché the episode or arc’s plot requires, but it’s hard to do when I’m supposed to believe that Chuck is in love with her, and not just the idea of her. Eh. Fear my growing indifference.
